With roster cut downs nearing, the Los Angeles Rams begin by releasing OT Cornelius Lucas:
The #Rams are cutting OL Cornelius Lucas, source said. He came into the league with the #Lions

One can assume this likely means that the Rams seen more from OT’s Joe Noteboom (obviously) and Darrel Williams.
Lucas was an undrafted free agent. He entered the league in 2014, coming out of Kansas, and latching on with the Detroit Lions from 2014-2016. Lucas spent the past year with the Rams, only logging one start in week 17 vs the San Francisco 49ers, a game in which the Rams benched all starters with a playoff spot secured.
Lucas is an absolute mountain of a man at 6’9” and 330 lbs. Unfortunately for him, he never showed enough to be kept around. It’s safe to say that Noteboom was a lock to make the roster as a third-round draft pick (he also played great), though Lucas had a real shot to earn a roster spot facing off with Williams.
