Things are seriously heating up for the Los Angeles Rams and DT Aaron Donald on a potential contract extension.

Head Coach Sean McVay’s presser just recently finished, and he dropped many tidbits hinting that a deal was extremely close and was hopefully going to be done in the next few days:

Things are heating up, you might see that sooner or later. We’re very optimistic, seriously. We are. Let’s put it this way, maybe it’ll happen.

On when Donald might be available:

Well, hopefully if we do get it done in the next couple of days, hopefully he’ll be good to go against Oakland.

This is a serious statement. I’m very optimistic things will be good for us. There is a level of increased optimism. The dialogue has increased, the level of urgency is extremely high on both sides.

McVay was smirking the entire time, dropping jokes and tidbits left, right, and center. He also stared into the camera and dropped a:

Hey Aaron, see you soon buddy.

Looks like the saga will likely be coming to an end soon, folks.
