Todd Gurley is going to get at least two cats in 2018

Don’t look meow, but the Rams’ RB is on the brink of getting a couple of feline friends

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at Baltimore Ravens Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

If you’ve got a subscription to ESPN The Magazine, you are in for a treat! In September’s issue, Sam Alipour sits down with Los Angeles Rams’ running back Todd Gurley to discuss their love for water parks, his new deal, expectations for the Rams in 2018, and much more.

But there was nothing more important than the reigning Offensive Player of the Year’s plans to add to his family in coming months. In response to Alipour asking what Gurley’s dislikes are, he reveals he “hates dogs” (gasp!) but loves cats! And he’s going to be adding at least two this year!

What would you list as your dislikes?

Driving. Waking up early. And I hate dogs. I love cats, though. Cats are so cool. Actually, I’m probably gonna get some this year.

Sorry, you’re gonna get a bunch of cats?

Two, at least, so they can, you know, conversate or whatever. I mean, how would I feel if I was a cat and someone bought me and just left me by myself for like 20 years?

So, you’re the Crazy Cat Lady.

Yeah, I’ll be Cat Dude.

And there you have it. The guy you’ll be drafting No. 1 overall in your fantasy football league can now be referred to as “Cat Dude.”

Oh, and if you only have one cat, put yourself in that cat’s shoes for a minute. How would you feel if you didn’t have another cat to conversate with or whatever? Doesn’t feel too good meow does it?
