Sunday, Sunday, Sunday.

The Los Angeles Rams were back at it for training camp in a much more spirited after yesterday’s session closed with Head Coach Sean McVay getting after the guys. Seems like it worked:

Apparently, the attendance of famed Los Angeles Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda didn’t keep things from being focused:

Injuries

A couple scares today.

TE Johnny Mundt had to be carted off. No word on the severity, but the transcript from McVay’s press availability should be out soon.

CB Aqib Talib was off today after getting his ankle tweaked with WR Robert Woods yesterday.

And we learned that WR Josh Reynolds will be out at least a week with the ankle injury he suffered in the preseason opener against the Baltimore Ravens.

Offense

OT Cornelius Lucas gave way to rookie OL Joseph Noteboom across from OT Darrell Williams today:

Something to keep in mind as we watch the offensive line over the course of the preseason. Given how the line played on Thursday, they’ll get a ton of attention next Saturday. While any personnel changes might be a little hasty, a similar performance from Williams or Lucas could prompt something heading into the third game.

Meanwhile, here were the starting tackles in LT Andrew Whitworth and RT Rob Havenstein:

And here was a nice move from WR Pharoh Cooper to get open against DB Ramon Richards:

And an INSANE one-handed snag from Woods:

Defense

CB Nickell Robey-Coleman had a nice day today, reportedly, capped with this one:

And a good clarification from the Athletic’s Vinny Bonsignore that it has been ILB Ramik Wilson in the first-string four-man linebacking crew with LB Tegray Scales and ILB Bryce Hager on the second string. With a strong showing from rookie ILB Micah Kiser, a focal point of the last episode of Turf Show Radio, there could be growing pressure here just like on the offensive line. Position battles!

And here’s big DL Ndamukong Suh:

The Rams are back at it tomorrow before a day off on Tuesday. Back to the grind to close out camp on Wednesday and Thursday and then get ready for preseason game #2 against the Oakland Raiders on Saturday in the Coliseum.
