Jarrod Patrick “Chunky” Clements has already been with 3 teams during his first year in the NFL. The University of Illinois product hoping that he sticks around Los Angeles a bit longer than he did during his stints with the Minnesota Vikings (6 weeks) and the Houston Texans (5 months).

Roster Battle

The rich got richer this offseason in Los Angeles. Despite having reigning Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald and a severely under-appreciated Michael Brockers along the defensive line, the Rams added Ndomakong Suh.

The Rams also brought back Dominique Easley and have a promising youngsters behind them in 2017 6th round pick Tanzel Smart. Suffice to say the competition for any remaining DL spots is going to be fierce.

Expectations

Clements scouting profile when he entered the NFL was not promising. “Rarely fights back into the play”, “plays upright”, “lacks leverage”, etc., etc.

If he’s going to stick with the Rams, he needs to show some serious improvement and durability. Showing proficiency on special teams never hurts either.

Chances of Making Roster (.5/10)

I really don’t like giving anyone a 0/10, so I’ll throw Chunky a bone here. With the right situation - meaning an injury (I’m looking at you Dom Easley) - and an amazing camp, he might eke out one of the last roster spots
