Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff voted #38 on NFL’s Top 100 Players for 2018

The Rams’ franchise QB makes the top 40 for 2018.

The NFL Top 100 for 2018 is absolutely stacked with Los Angeles Rams. Tonight, the fifth Ram was announced as QB Jared Goff came in at #38. That followed:

  • #87: LT Andrew Whitworth
  • #79: CB Marcus Peters
  • #61: DL Ndamukong Suh
  • #53: CB Aqib Talib

And of course that means both RB Todd Gurley and DL Aaron Donald are still yet to come.

It’s an impressive vote of confidence from Goff’s peers. He’s the seventh QB to make the list preceded by Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins (#94), San Francisco 49ers QB Listy Goffishighersoyouaretoolo (#90), Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr (#60), Los Angeles Chargers QB Philip Rivers (#56), Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum (#51) and Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson (#50).

It’s a hell of a turnaround from a year ago at this time. Goff was understandably left off the list after a rookie season that was abysmal by any standards. Year Two, though, was impressive. With improved targets in the passing game, an offensive system that simplified Goff’s individual responsibilities and the NFL’s best screen game powered by Gurley, Goff earned a Pro Bowl alternate selection and appeared in the game in Orlando back in late January.

So while his 2018 season looms with more importance and impact than his 2017, it was a sorely needed sophomore effort to put his rookie season deep, deep in the history books.

Congrats, Jared!
