Los Angeles Rams waive RB Larry Rose, DB Chucky Williams

The Rams are changing up the bottom-end of the roster

Upon the completion of organized team activities and minicamp, the Los Angeles Rams have waived two rookie undrafted free agents in RB Larry Rose and DB Chucky Williams:

Unluckily for Rose and Williams, they were both at deep positions for the Rams. Ultimately, the need for heavier depth just wasn’t strong enough to keep them heading toward training camp.

Rose was competing for space behind star RB Todd Gurley with 2018 NFL Draft sixth-round draft pick RB John Kelly and two players who both showed promise in RB Malcolm Brown and former UDFA Justin Davis.

Williams was also a rookie UDFA looking to crack the deep roster at the safety spot. With two solid starters in S Lamarcus Joyner and second-year S John Johnson III, backups Marqui Christian and Blake Countess are likely on the primary backup spots though performance in training camp and the preseason could change things.

Best of luck to both players landing at other spots!
