What we learned about the 2018 Los Angeles Rams at minicamp

Time to close things up for the summer break.

Minicamp? Over! Summer break? Here! Football? Closer!

The Los Angeles Rams are done with football. Head Coach Sean McVay said Tuesday at his press availability the Rams will forego the last day of camp (as they did last year) and tour the construction site of the LA Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park today. And with that...we cross the summer desert to training camp.

Here’s where things stand heading towards the most important training camp for this franchise in more than 15 years.

Healthy...Again...Again...Again

Los Angeles Chargers TE Hunter Henry tore his ACL during organized team activities depriving one of the AFC’s strongest candidates one of their best players for 2018.

Not so for one of the NFC’s strongest candidates across town in the #FightForLA. We just keep on keepin on on this front. Yes, we lost DE/OLB Morgan Fox for the year on an ACL injury. And yes, rookie 2018 NFL Draft fifth-round rookie EDGE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo broke his foot in Phase II of the offseason program potentially delaying his full participation in training camp. And yes, that’s about it.

And that’s pretty good.

Expectation negotiations

The Rams are in Super Bowl or bust mode. That changes everything. And while minicamp is, yanno, minicamp, it pushes us off toward training camp at which point...yeah. Those expectations are going to set in. Big time.

Ah, minicamp. We barely knew ye.

On to training camp! Can’t wait to know ye! How are ye! Had ye a good break? What did ye think of Ye? Ye mean ye liked it? Methinks ye is weird.

Methinks me need training camp.
