Los Angeles Rams CB Marcus Peters lands at #79 on NFL’s Top 100 Players for 2018

One of the Rams’ new cornerbacks has been voted into the top 80 by his NFL peers.

Los Angeles Rams CB Marcus Peters has been voted into the NFL’s Top 100 for 2018 as voted upon by the players themselves at #79.

Peters is the second Ram to make the list after LT Andrew Whitworth came in at #87. And while Whitworth made the list after missing out in 2017, it’s Peters third successive inclusion after coming in at #65 in 2016 and #32 last season.

That NFL players still included him this season after his dustups with his own coaching staff forced a trade away from the Kansas City Chiefs speaks to just how strong the caliber of his play has been. That the Rams swooped in to get a player in the top 80 regardless of his combustive personality means they’ve added one of the best cornerbacks in the game.

We’ll have to see what other members of the 2018 Rams make the list, but I think we’d all be shocked if Peters is the last name we see from the roster in the top 100.
