In not-so-good news from day three of organized team activities (OTAs), Los Angeles Rams DE/DT/OLB Morgan Fox has torn his ACL:
#Rams DE Morgan Fox tore his ACL today, source said. Played all 16 games last year, had 2.5 sacks. Another brutal May injury.

Fox originally joined the Rams after the 2016 NFL Draft as an undrafted free agent working his way onto the roster. Spending most of the 2016 season as a practice squad player, Fox worked his way into a key contributor off the bench last season in 2017.
Fox registered 19 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble in 2017, starting in only one game but contributing in all 16.
It’s a shame for a player who was slated to have a real role (potentially the one Matt Longacre filled last year?) on the defense. Fox will now subsequently miss the entire season.
The Rams deployed Fox as a base-down DE last season (3-4), though he normally would kick inside to DT in sub-packages. Fox looked to be transitioning into a OLB for the upcoming season with as much depth as the Rams had along the defensive line.
Best wishes, Morgan. Get well!
