The Los Angeles Rams have just announced two undrafted free agent rookie signings and a pair of other transactions to make room:
FB Sam Rogers, waived
A sixth-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech, Rogers has bounced around the fringe of the roster since he came on board. I wouldn’t expect him to go far as the Rams could easily bring him back into the fold before camp.
RB Lenard Tillery, waived
Tillery was a late UDFA addition last year who went on injured reserve in September. The addition of fifth-round pick RB John Kelly in the 2018 NFL Draft bumped everyone on the RB depth chart down a spot.
DT Dalton Keene, signed
Keene comes out of Illinois State in the FCS’ Missouri Valley Football Conference. He’ll likely plug in as a 3-4 DE, though his longshot option here is to contribute on special teams.
S Chucky Williams, signed
A starting safety at Louisville since his redshirt sophomore season in 2015, Chucky was a well-liked leader on the defense. He rejoins his fellow Louisville alum EDGE Trevon Young whom the Rams took in the sixth round in the 2018 NFL Draft.
