As we continue on in the sixth round, the Los Angeles Rams are on the clock again with the 205th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
And with that pick, they select:
Louisville Cardinals OLB Trevon Young
Yes, that would be another pick invested into the front-seven of the defense. The Rams just continue to fortify the defense as they should. Young is the third LB added by the Rams here after selecting Micah Kiser in the fifth-round, and Ogbonnia Okoronkwo in the sixth-round of the draft.
Young is a huge (6’4” 258 lbs) OLB with a lot of athleticism shown off by some good combine numbers. He is an edge defender (pass rusher) who has had a bit of an extensive injury history, probably leading to his availability at this point in the draft. Young shows plenty of juice as he maintains a high motor, and will likely improve with a move from DE in a 4-3 defense to OLB in a 3-4.
