POLL, 2018 NFL Draft Results: Grading the Los Angeles Rams’ selection of Rutgers DT Sebastian Joseph

The madness continues!

NCAA Football: Maryland at Rutgers Gregory Fisher-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Rams selected Rutgers Scarlet Knights DT Sebastian Joseph with the 195th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

The Rams are clearly looking to add depth. No one in their right mind would think a sixth rounder would supplant DL Michael Brockers, DL Ndamukong Suh or DL Aaron Donald. The team is looking to add situational depth here and for good reason.

Here’s NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein with his overview of Joseph:

Plays with very good quickness off the snap. Impressive 4.97 forty at his pro day with a 10-yard split to match. Quick hands, strong hands. Flashes two-gap sensibilities with ability to punch, spy, and disengage. Plus agility to scrape along the line to mirror the runner. Explosive lateral burst to snare running backs from the backside. Never stagnant with relentless motor. Good feel for blocking schemes and attacks his attacker. Makes impact tackles near the line of scrimmage

Grade: B

To be honest, I don’t know too much about Joseph. So, I’m going to do what my college professors did when they didn’t want to assign a true grade and give out a B.
