POLL, 2018 NFL Draft Results: Grading the Los Angeles Rams’ selection of Maine OL Jamil Demby

Demby? Demby. Demby!

NCAA Football: Senior Bowl-North Practice Glenn Andrews-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Rams selected Maine OT Jamil Demby with the 192nd overall selection in the 6th round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Demby is another offensive lineman who has a potential in the future for the Rams. Yet another Senior Bowl player (does Rams General Manager Les Snead draft anyone else?), he’s projected more to the inside, but his experience at tackle gives him some versatility.

Here’s what Lance Zierlein had to say about Demby:

Demby is a well-built, wide-framed college tackle who projects inside to guard. He’s naturally strong with some pop at the point of attack, but his ability to sustain is inconsistent due to his lack of bend and inconsistent hand usage. Demby may be more solid than good as a run blocker, but his experience at tackle and his traits in pass protection could help him stand out for a pass-heavy offense looking to shore up a leaky interior. Demby has the traits and talent to become an eventual starter.

Grade: B

The Rams are returning all five starters from last year, but I like the moves they are making for the offensive line in the future. Demby continues that.
