Yesterday, out of nowhere, arose a rumor that the Los Angeles Rams might be interested in acquiring Odell Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants. Whether or not you questioned the source, it was out there.
And it doesn’t appear to be going away.
Tuesday morning, while at the coaches breakfast, Rams’ head coach Sean McVay fielded a variety of questions. There was no way he was going to avoid ones surrounding the NFL’s hot new rumor.

As Jones notes here, due to the NFL’s tampering rules, McVay was cautious to say they’d spoken with another player currently under contract. And in the same breath, McVay doesn’t necessarily take the notion of acquiring one of the NFL’s best young receivers off the table.
We don’t talk about anybody that’s under contract with another team, but I think if there is one thing that you can appreciate about what we’ve done this offseason and the way that we look at it organizationally is there’s no trade that we wouldn’t explore, look into if we feel it can upgrade us as a team.
There’s been much debate as to whether or not the Giants are truly even entertaining the idea of shopping Beckham, despite how frustrated the organization may sound.
For what it’s worth, there are those in the know that hear the Giants would be interested in moving OBJ, but it sounds as though what they’re being offered has yet to pique their interest.
Someone was getting sold a bill of goods yesterday. I talked with several people who said the Giants ARE shopping Beckham.

They just want more than what's being offered.
Stay tuned. There’s still some life in this one.
