The Los Angeles Rams held a formal visit with star Washington DT Vita Vea during his pro day:
#Dolphins and #Rams visited with Washington DT Vita Vea yesterday. #Colts and #Cowboys stayed late with Dante Pettis. Other observations, including a non-Combine invite who boosted his chances at today’s #UWProDay https://t.co/bqnnDT2cU6

Vea is an interesting prospect that has not been spoken about too much. He is a talented defensive tackle that is not only a great run defender who can offer some pass rush ability, but he could probably play snaps at every defensive line position. At 6’4” at 347 pounds, he ran a 5.10 during the forty yard dash and threw up 41 bench reps at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine.
One of the biggest weaknesses of the Rams defense was their inability to stop the run finishing among the worst in the league. Adding Vea would make life easier for players like DL Aaron Donald, ILB Mark Barron and whomever the Rams decide to add at middle linebacker alongside Barron.
Obviously, the Rams are not going to draft every player that the team shows interest in. Sometimes they just want to learn about a player to have intel for the following years. However, if Vea is around when the Rams draft and other options are not available Vea would not be the worst selection that the Rams would make and he would make the front seven better.
