Well folks, this one is of some importance. A game that may have seemed like it was of little consequence a few weeks ago now has serious playoff implications. If the Los Angeles Rams win today, they’ve got a first round bye and can rest their players for an additional week before hosting a game at the LA Memorial Coliseum in mid-January. If the San Francisco 49ers are able to escape with a win today, the Rams will need some help from the Minnesota Vikings, who host the No. 3 seed Chicago Bears.
It may be a moot point, as the Bears have publicly stated that they’ll be monitoring the Rams’ game and pulling their starters if the Rams get out to a big lead. Let’s just hope there’s a big lead, regardless of what the Bears and Vikings are doing.
Here’s to a first round postseason bye. Let’s get it!
