Earlier today, Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley was trending towards playing. After some further thinking, it seems the Rams and Gurley decided to not rush the star running back into action.
Text just now from Rams’ official who was optimistic this morning that Todd Gurley would play today: “He wasn’t feeling great. Won’t go today.” Gurley inactive.

RB Todd Gurley
DB Darious Williams
OLB Ogbonnia Okoronkwo
OLB Trevon Young
OL Jamil Demby

If the Rams were somehow to clinch the bye after this week, this decision could help Gurley get very close to 100% health as Gurley could rest for 3 of the next 4 weeks.
The #Rams go with the cautious approach. If they get the bye, Gurley could rest for 3 of the next 4 weeks. https://t.co/QTxk4jLRbp

With Gurley out, all signs point towards newly signed C.J. Anderson to be the starter while John Kelly would serve as his backup.
If Todd Gurley is unable to go Sunday, it is expected that CJ Anderson will start, and John Kelly will backup. Justin Davis is questionable to play. Malcolm Brown is on IR.

Anderson, Kelley, and Davis are the active backs today. More than likely, Anderson will be given a good portion of the work as the Rams look to get break their losing streak against the Arizona Cardinals.
Get well soon Mr. Gurley!
