Donald deserves the MVP despite the NFL and the AP.

Each year of late, the NFL makes the game easier for the offense and in particular the QB. The NFL loves to a great QB story. Then along comes Aaron Donald. He is dealing with two to three blockers more than 70% of the time, rule changes meant to minimize his impact and game plans designed to stop him. Facing what he does and leading the NFL in most every category relating to pressure on the QB from DT (where it is the most convenient for offenses to double team) position should make this MVP vote easy. Brees, Mahomes, Gurley or Goff etc. have the NFL conspiring to make their jobs easier and it shows all across the league. Donald is excelling despite his job being made harder every year. Donald is encroaching on records that aren't broken or teased every year. It's time MVP voters remember the defensive half of these teams and how truly rare Donald's talents are. As for "Valuable", big plays in big moments (ie against Mahomes) has been his specialty this season. The Rams felt strongly enough of his value to the team, they redefined defensive salaries. That there are 2-3 QB candidates having (NFL rules enhanced) great seasons in the running and Donald is still in the conversation (when was the last time a DT was here) proves how much more rare Donald's performance this year is. Please voters don't let this moment slip away to reward a player who is clearly that much better than his peers and that valuable to his team. Go Rams!
