The Los Angeles Rams have released T Rick Leonard and DE Ja’Von Rolland-Jones from the practice squad:
#LARams have terminated the contracts of T Rick Leonard + DE Ja'Von Rolland-Jones from the practice squad.
— Los Angeles Rams (@RamsNFL) November 6, 2018
Leonard was added back in early October after being dropped by the New Orleans Saints who drafted him in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Rolland-Jones, a UDFA rookie out of Arkansas St., was picked up a week prior.
The clearing makes room for OLB Trevon Young who was waived to make room for rookie EDGE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo when he was activated yesterday off of the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. It also leaves open another spot that will be used to add some deep backup talent to the 53-man roster.
You’ve also got to wonder if the agent for DE Bruce Irvin might be on Les Snead’s speed dial, as the former Raider just cleared waivers this afternoon. If not, we’ll see who the Rams opt to bring in soon.
Stay tuned.
