We got a good AFC matchup tonight between the 5-5 Tennessee Titans and 7-3 Houston Texans.
The big news heading in was that Titans QB Marcus Mariota was a full go on the injury report. He was knocked out of last week’s game against the Indianapolis Colts with an elbow injury but was listed with a neck injury midweek. Obviously, it’s a big boost for the Titans to go with Mariota over backup QB Blaine Gabbert. That game took the wind out of their sails after beating the New England Patriots as they then were pasted by the Colts and QB Andrew Luck.
For Houston, they’re on a seven-game winning streak and have a chance to become the NFL’s first team to start 0-3 and then win eight straight. Gotta think H-Town is gonna show up pumped for this one.
They Texans are right in the thick of the AFC playoff race while the Titans are trying to stay in the mix, so there’s every reason to think we could get a good one tonight.
