In a somewhat expected move, the Los Angeles Rams announced that CB Aqib Talib will be designated to return from the injured reserve, making the star player available to participate in all team activities. Talib, a team captain, has been sidelined with an ankle injury since week 3.

Talib has said previously that he expected to return on week 13 for the road game against the Detroit Lions. He was quoted as saying, “That’s the plan. If you ask me, I’m coming back.” This move pretty must bolsters that claim, but he still needs to prove that he’s healthy enough to play in practice.
The Rams have 21 days to officially activate Talib from the IR. If things don’t go as expected with his return, he’ll remain on the IR for the rest of the season. Since the Rams already brought back Pharoh Cooper from the IR, Talib’s presumed returns makes it that they can no longer bring back any other IR players (such as WR Mike Thomas).
Smart money says that you can expect to see Aqib Talib suited up in Detroit and ready to play.
