For his two touchdowns on Monday night, Los Angeles Rams EDGE Samson Ebukam has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 11.
Against the Kansas City Chiefs, Ebukam logged three tackles and a sack to go with his two defensive touchdowns to go down as the first player in NFL history to log a sack, an interception, and multiple touchdowns in the same game. Now in his second season, Ebukam continues to grow into his role with newly added EDGE Dante Fowler Jr. across from him. He’s now up to three sacks on the year.
Ebukam’s award win is now the sixth player of the week award shared among six Rams suggesting just how strong the overall roster is, joining:
- K Greg Zuerlein, Week 1
- DB/KR/PR Blake Countess, Week 3
- QB Jared Goff, Week 4
- RB Todd Gurley, Week 6
- DL Aaron Donald, Week 7
Congrats to Samson for the well-deserved accolade!
