Forget the analysis. Forget the historic scoring total. Or QB Jared Goff marshaling the offense down the field to win the game or the stop.
Just revel in the perfection of this.
The Los Angeles Rams won a historic game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football in LA with the NFL world watching and reveling in just how fantastic this was.
This was it, yall. This was a perfect night. A perfect exhibition of LA Rams football. Of football.
Of just everything.
It all came together.
No, it wasn’t a spectacular game from Goff. He missed a ton of throws. But the Rams persevered.
RB Todd Gurley was absent for most of the night; I’d expect we’re going to hear about some kind of injury that hampered him throughout. But the Rams persevered.
The Rams gave up 532 total yards and six passing touchdowns to Chiefs QB Pat Mahomes.
But the Rams persevered.
It wasn’t a perfect performance. But for a night, everything was perfect.
And that’s pretty damn cool with me.
