Watkins will be a Monday decision after being listed QUESTIONABLE.

Over at Arrowhead Pride, the SB Nation community for Chiefs fans, they’ve got this quote from Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid on Watkins;

He tested it out (on Thursday). He was testing it out and we just kind of felt like we needed to back off and just let it rest here a little bit. We will see. Every day has gotten a little bit better, so that’s a plus.

And here’s their analysis on the injury:

This is an interesting case. We saw in the game that he was injured that there was a taping technique being applied to him at the time of injury. This type of technique known as “Low-Dye” is used for support in several issues, but since the injury designation is “foot”, my assumption is that this could be a mild foot sprain that the team is being cautious with. While there are other possibilities, this seems most likely given what we know. Given the fact that the player practiced on a limited basis earlier in the week and the comments presented to the media, I would guess the team is being precautionary and did not wish the condition to worsen throughout the week. With the now-known questionable designation, the team must guard against the player having a setback. However, it seems the chances are that this player suits up and goes for the team in some capacity.

Decision on Watkins and seven-man inactives out Monday.
