Samuel Gold - an NFL film analyst of The Athletic Seattle - believes QB’s Drew Brees and Patrick Mahomes should have a clear-cut advantage in the current Most Valuable Player award (MVP) race when compared to Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley.

Gurley is the NFL’s most productive running back this season and it isn’t particularly close. Gurley currently has 1,390 yards from scrimmage and 17 total touchdowns with another six games to tack on even more statistics.

In one of his many film breakdowns, Gold takes a look at all the film of Gurley within the Rams’ offense, his role/usage in the offense, and charted all the statistics deciphering between the productivity of the offensive line and Gurley himself.

Watch the video, because Gold has clearly taken a ton of time to construct a well thought out argument and the stats are interesting to see nevertheless.
