The Los Angeles Rams (8-1) will look to bounce back from a tough Week 9 loss to the New Orleans Saints (7-1) this Sunday. The team fought hard in the late stages of the game, but it simply wasn’t enough to overcome an unnecessarily large first half deficit.
This week, they play host to division rival Seattle Seahawks (4-4), who currently sit in the second spot in the NFC West. A win for the Rams today would give them a five game lead in the division, and virtually lock up back-to-back divisional crowns.
But let’s not put the cart before the horse. The Rams still need to take care of business against a divisional opponent on Sunday — something that’s easier said than done. If you’ll remember earlier this season (Week 5), the Rams entered the 4th quarter of their matchup in Seattle trailing by 7 points. They rallied, put up nine unanswered points, and secured the win...but the Seahawks weren’t, and won’t be today, pushovers.
The Rams lost in Week 9 and face a hobbled Seahawks squad today. The response you’d hope to see is that of a team disappointed in their play last week and ready to handle their business in dominating fashion.
We’ll all find out shortly. Buckle up.
