The New Orleans Saints (6-1) will host the undefeated Los Angeles Rams (8-0) in the Superdome in Week 9. With a game that has major playoff and seeding implications, it’s imperative that both teams are that their best.
And it appears, for the most part, both teams are on the right track — though we were informed yesterday that Saints’ rookie pass rusher Marcus Davenport will be out for about a month, and will not be available this weekend.
As for the Rams, the good news is that wide receiver Cooper Kupp (knee) is still on schedule to return this weekend, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.
Trevon Young was a full go today, so he’s looking good to get back at it this weekend.
Sam Shields wasn’t feeling so hot, so he sat this one out.
And veteran offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth and John Sullivan took a days rest because...well, they’ve earned it. Neither are in jeopardy of missing the game.
