The Rams will be moving a third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft for the pass rusher.
Fowler is a former first-round pick (third overall) in the 2015 NFL Draft. In three years, Fowler has accumulated 14 sacks, eight of which came in his best season in 2017.
Fowler’s cap hit is $7.3m on the season though the price will obviously be slashed by eight weeks worth of pay as the season is nearly halfway through. The Jaguars did decline the fifth-year option on Fowler so he is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
Fowler is an explosive and athletic edge rusher with a current grade of 72.7 from Pro Football Focus.
