Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks: Longest initial injury report of the year

Some concerns for the Rams this week heading out on the road.

The Los Angeles Rams are preparing to kick off a three-game road swing in Week 5 against the Seattle Seahawks. They’re doing so on the back of the longest initial injury report of the season to this point:

It certainly sounds like ILB Mark Barron is going to be a go on Sunday per Head Coach Sean McVay’s remarks today:

We’ve kind of got a plan in place that we’re anticipating him being able to go. That’s subject to change based on how he responds, but he’s feeling good up to this point. Really, the mental aspect of today just occurred. Then, we’ll get the physical a little bit later on which is where we’ll probably have a better idea of how he’s feeling and how he responds to that physical pounding. We’re hopeful to be able to get him back.

We also learned that K Greg Zuerlein is close to returning, but the team didn’t want to push him too fast:

We kind of pulled back a little bit. There was a possibility that you look at maybe even carrying two, but because of some of the situations that we have occurring with guys that might or might not be available with our 46 (man roster), we don’t want to rush Greg back in too soon. It was a good workout. He’s feeling good, but I think we probably would be accelerating a little faster than what’s best for Greg, number one, and best for our team as well.

No word on JoJo Natson, but we’ll see if he progresses and is back on the field to take over return duties on Sunday.

The real concerns are TE Tyler Higbee and G Rodger Saffold. With knee injury designations and no clarity from McVay today, the team is likely keeping those close to the vest. We’ll see if they allow questions on the two later this week as the injury report clears up.

Here’s the Seahawks’ side:
