Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers: Final injury report has every Rams but WR Cooper Kupp good to go

Good to go.

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Los Angeles Rams Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Rams are heading north for a rivalry week matchup against the 1-5 San Francisco 49ers in Week 7.

Things look good on the injury report:

Hard not to like this. The Rams are in solid shape on the injury report with just WR Cooper Kupp out, though obviously we’ll have to see how some of the more banged up Rams perform. Remember just two weeks ago we were talking about injured CB Marcus Peters battling through a calf injury and the adverse effect it was having. So while the injury report looks great, let’s see if the players who are gritting things out on the field playing injured end up costing more on the field than their absence, like Kupp’s, would off of it.

As for the Niners:

Here’s what they had to say over at Niners Nation, the SB Nation community for 49ers fans:

Taylor was inactive last week, while Garçon played after missing two practices. My guess is Garçon plays, while Taylor is a game-time decision. The team is conducting a walkthrough on Friday, hoping to save the team’s legs after a quick turnaround from Monday Night Football. That means questionable players will not really know until pre-game work how they are doing for the game.

If Taylor can’t go, we would see a mix in the slot. Last week, Kendrick Bourne and Pierre Garçon spent the most time in the slot, with each getting 12 snaps there. Garçon is likely playing, but if he did not, Richie James might finally get a big opportunity.

The 49ers secondary is dealing with a host of injuries that will leave the group potentially a bit limited. Aside from Ward being doubtful, Richard Sherman, K’Waun Williams, and Ahkello Witherspoon are all listed as questionable. Witherspoon is making his way through the concussion protocol, and is making progress, with a limited appearance on Thursday after a DNP on Wednesday. If he does not have concussion symptoms on Sunday, he’ll be playing.

Sherman was listed as limited on Wednesday and Thursday, and then a DNP on Friday. It is likely a rest day since it was a walkthrough, but that will be something to monitor on Sunday. For the time being, the plan is for Sherman and Witherspoon to play cornerback, but the pre-game warmups will be worth a watch to see if either has any issues.
