The Los Angeles Rams are are on the road in Week 6 to take on the Denver Broncos.
It’s an interesting contest if largely due to the completely dissimilar positions both teams occupy based on the last few weeks.
The Rams have navigated some difficult early contests with some spectacular offensive play en route to a 5-0 start as arguably the best team in the entire NFL. The Broncos are mired in a three-game losing streak coming off an embarrassing effort against the New York Jets.
It makes for a lopsided entrypoint and one that certainly doesn’t make a competitive game feasible.
Except for the fact this is the NFL.
Good teams have bad games and bad teams have good games. If those two can converge in the same game...any given Sunday.
So yes, the Rams are solid favorites on the road as well they should be. And if the Rams end up winning by multiple dozens of points, I don’t know that many fans (Rams, Broncos or anyone else) would be surprised.
But we also shouldn’t be surprised if this turns into a real contest.
The NFL is built upon parity. And today, it might just have a sale to make.
