The Rams hang their helmets for the season, but shouldn’t hang their heads.

The Los Angeles Rams season ended tonight, but it wasn’t a failure. It hurts. A Lot. But we as fans haven’t been in a position to feel this way for nearly 15 years.

The suck is real, but the Rams gave us more this season than we could ever have hoped for last August.

For perspective:

  • Everyone expected a 6-10 season. They won 11.
  • Jared Goff entered the season labeled as a bust by many. He ended it as the most efficient passer in the NFL.
  • Todd Gurley went from sophomore slump to MVP candidate
  • Sean McVay had growing pains, but showed he was the right hire.

Yes, tonight was painful. But it was also fun. Fun football in January.... what a concept. Something that the Rams are primed to repeat moving forward - which is exciting.

We will move forward into the doldrums of the NFL offseason, but let us not forget the success that was the 2017 Los Angeles Rams.
