Just Todd Gurley won the award back in September for his early season performances so it’s fitting that he was able to bookend his season with the award yet again.
What’s perhaps more impressive this time around is that Gurley didn’t play in Week 17 as the Rams sent out mostly backups against the San Francisco 49ers to prepare for this weekend’s wild card game against the Atlanta Falcons in the 2018 NFL Playoffs.
Nevertheless, his monster performances against the Tennessee Titans in Week 16 and against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15 were enough to earn the award. The question of course is if the entirety of Gurley’s season has been enough to warrant the top resume for the MVP.
As it stands, it’s more silverware for JTG and a fair indicator of just how special his 2017 season has been.
Congrats, Todd!
