The Pro Bowl. The most professional of all bowls though less super than others.
I’ll be honest. I’m no fan of the Pro Bowl. I haven’t watched it for more than a decade...and that won’t be changing today.
But, I must acknowledge the game’s popularity. More than seven million people watched last year’s game. Much like the rest of the NFL, the ratings for the game continue to decline but dwarf pretty much anything non-NFL related. So a lot of you clearly enjoy it.
So have at it, folks. It’s as good a year as any to watch the game as a Los Angeles Rams fan. The Rams have six players going today: QB Jared Goff, RB Todd Gurley, LT Andrew Whitworth, KR/PR Pharoh Cooper, P Johnny Hekker and LS Jake McQuaide. Two other Rams, DL Aaron Donald and K Greg Zuerlein, were selected but aren’t playing due to injury. Fret not on that Donald injury news. It’s just a, uh, Pro Bowl injury.
Let’s bowl.
