Monday. Mock drafts.
Today’s weekly mock from Mocking the Draft’s Dan Kadar is begging a simple question for the Los Angeles Rams...
How’s that cornerback board looking?
Most mocks to this point have the Rams tied to a cornerback in round 1. Fair enough. But what if the Rams’ target gets snipped well before they pick at 23?
Kadar’s mock has Ohio St. CB Denzel Ward going at #6 to the New York Jets. So for us, the pick is:
23. Los Angeles Rams: Josh Jackson, CB, Iowa
With Ward long gone, the Rams would be fine if they fell back on Jackson. If Trumaine Johnson leaves in free agency, a player like Johnson would be a natural replacement.
More to the point of the question, Kadar has Auburn CB Carlton Davis at #31 and Louisville CB Jaire Alexander at #32. I kind of feel #RamsCBwatch2018 is going to be a thing that grows in the coming weeks and months.
For today though, it’s another mock with another CB for the Rams in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
