The Divisional Round closes out with two really intriguing matchups.

Yesterday certainly offered a tepid entry into the Divisional Round of the 2018 NFL Playoffs.

The Philadelphia Eagles held off the Atlanta Falcons in a defensive showdown staving off the skepticism that they’d be a one-and-done without QB Carson Wentz while the New England Patriots played like the New England Patriots against the not New England Patriots (yesterday, played by the Tennessee Titans).

Two more games today will give us the final setup for the conference championships next weekend.

If yesterday was set up for a bit of a slog, today should start off with a bang with this one.

Yes, the Steelers are major favorites, but are we really supposed to discount the 2017 Jags? Jacksonville was the second-best defense in the NFL this year in points allowed with the second-most sacks of any team in the NFL.

The only team with more? The Steelers. And they’ve got the offense to couple with that defense.

The obvious big difference comes down to the quarterback position. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger has a resume that’s hard to quibble with. Jags QB Blake Bortles does not.

Perhaps that’s the real challenge at hand. Can the Jaguars, much like the Eagles yesterday, put together a performance that minimizes the effect of their quarterback play? If so, unlike the Eagles, they’ll have to do it on the road in front of what is sure to be a raucous crowd.

4:40pm ET - FOX

Vikings coverage: Daily Norseman

Whoo, buddy. If there was a matchup to cap off the weekend, this is it.

The NFL’s best defense at home against one of the league’s best offenses with a dual-headed rushing attack that’s nearly impossible to stop.

Just enjoy this one.
