Well...NFL Playoff life goes on.
After a disappointing outcome last weekend, the Los Angeles Rams’ season is over. While we’ve got plenty to deal with over the next six months, these playoffs must go on.
Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles
4:35pm ET - NBC
This should be interesting.
An Atlanta team that just knocked us out of the playoffs against an Eagles team that now has to be led by QB Nick Foles after QB Carson Wentz suffered a knee injury in the Eagles’ 43-35 win over us in Week 14. Our Rams have our fingerprints all over this one.
Is it as simple as Wentz? The odds suggest so, leaving the Falcons favorites on the road with Philly coming off of a #1 seed. How much of that is due to the Falcons beating the Rams in LA? Does that kind of performance merit the attention of the NFC?
If ATL can come off of a Super Bowl appearance with all the motivation necessary to find themselves back in the same position and best two superior seeds on the road, do they become the NFC’s team of destiny in 2018?
On the other hand, if Philadelphia can stave off the Falcons even without Wentz, do they suddenly become the team beyond Wentz that merits credibility?
Tennessee Titans at New England Patriots
8:15pm ET - CBS
Yeah, sure.
