The Los Angeles Rams continue their roster carousel, this time at the expense of OL Michael Dunn. The Rams announced on Tuesday that they had released the un-drafted rookie. The University of Maryland product joined the Rams back in June and was released during final cuts.
Our own Elijah Kim gave Dunn a 2/10 chance to make the roster back in July, and that projection was spot on. Dunn was praised as an “experienced player” and “decent technician”, but evidently that wasn’t enough to save him a job.
With this release the Rams’ practice squad now stands at nine players. Cutting Dunn gives them the opportunity to bring back someone released during cuts, or venture somewhere new. With the Rams continuously changing the back end of the roster and the practice squad, nobody should be surprised to see them bring back a familiar face in Dunn if the need should arise.
