The Los Angeles Rams are heading to Texas to take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4. In doing so, they’ve got some crucial injury concerns to play out over the week of practice as detailed in the initial report:

2017 LA Rams Week 4 Injury Report

Name POS Injury Wed. Status Thu. Status Fri. Status Game Status
Malcolm Brown RB Hamstring Full Full Full
Kayvon Webster CB Shoulder Full Full Full
Tavon Austin WR Concussion Limited Full Full
Sammy Watkins WR Concussion Limited Full Full
Connor Barwin OLB Rest DNP Full Full
Andrew Whitworth T Rest DNP Full Full
John Sullivan C Hip DNP Limited Limited Questionable
Cody Davis S Quad - - DNP Questionable
Lamarcus Joyner S Hamstring DNP DNP DNP Out

For one, it’s heartening to not see TE Gerald Everett here. Given that he was listed as Questionable on the final injury report going into Week 3 and limited in his game action, I wouldn’t have been surprised to see him listed as a full or limited participant. That he’s not even included is perhaps an indication that he’s fully ready to go already.

Like Everett, RB Malcolm Brown and CB Kayvon Webster were also listed as Questionable. Unlike Everett, they were both on the seven-man inactive list in Week 3. So to see them listed isn’t necessarily problematic, especially as both were full participants.

We’ve got two on rest in OT Andrew Whitworth and OLB Connor Barwin. Make your old man/Head Coach Sean McVay age jokes here.

Then you’ve got the four names of concern to track. WR Sammy Watkins and WR Tavon Austin are dealing with the concussion protocol as limited participants. Both DB Lamarcus Joyner and C John Sullivan were fully excluded from practice with hamstring and hip issues, respectively. How these four progress through tomorrow’s practice and into the weekend will be the determining factor. That none of the injuries sustained from Week 3 brought any calls for lengthier outages is perhaps encouraging. But should either Joyner or Sullivan get to Friday without categorical improvement, we may have our first legit long-term injury concern of the year.

Here’s Dallas’ side:

The clear cause for concern on their side is MLB Sean Lee as a full holdout today.

Stay tuned for tomorrow to see who gets upgraded.
