Los Angeles Rams DE Ethan Westbrooks was arrested in Bakersfield this weekend when he was stopped for speeding and police discovered a gun that was not registered to him.
According to sources, Westbrooks was pulled over by police in Bakersfield for speeding, at which point police found a gun in Westbrooks vehicle that was not registered to him.
Westbrooks was arrested and taken into custody and was later released on bail.
There’s no word on if Westbrooks will face any discipline from the team or the league given that this is his second arrest in the last six months. Westbrooks was also arrested in March on domestic violence charges. The Sacramento District Attorney declined to pursue those charges dropping the case.
Two weeks ago, Westbrooks signed a contract extension keeping him under contract through the 2018 season.
Westbrooks joined the Rams after the 2014 NFL Draft as an undrafted free agent.
