THE HYPOTHETICAL INJURY REPORT IS BACK!

While we’re still doing some looks back at Week 2 between the Los Angeles Rams and Washington Guys, Thursday Night Football beckons. The Rams are back in the Urine Uniforms Mustard Custards Color Rush jerseys to take on the San Francisco 49ers in our first road trip of the year in Week 3.

With the short week, the Rams had to get back on the field on Monday for the first of three practices...or not. Rams Head Coach Sean McVay cancelled the walkthrough yesterday leaving us with a bit of a hypothetical injury report. Taste the nostalgia of the Fisherball hypothetical Thursday injury reports!

Nonetheless with McVay offering that the report reflects who “would have missed if we practiced today,” it’s at least more credible than the Fisher era hypothetical reports.

Here’s the three Rams that would have been held out:

2017 LA Rams Week 3 Injury Report

Name POS Injury Mon. Status Tue. Status Wed. Status Game Status
Name POS Injury Mon. Status Tue. Status Wed. Status Game Status
Malcolm Brown RB Hamstring DNP DNP DNP Questionable
Gerald Everett TE Thigh DNP Limited Limited Questionable
Kayvon Webster CB Shoulder DNP DNP DNP Questionable

CB Kayvon Webster missed all of the preseason and was injured in the season opener, so there’s cause for concern. Having missed last week as an inactive after being unavailable for practice for two days an then a limited participant on Friday, we’ll have to see how he lists out after today’s and tomorrow’s practice.

TE Gerald Everett got hurt on that laser throw from QB Jared Goff in the third quarter. Hopefully, he’s able to play on Thursday as his rookie season has gotten off to a strong start.

And hamstrings can be very pesky injuries, so we’ll have to see if RB Malcolm Brown can get involved in practice this week.

Here’s the 49ers’ side:

Eli Harold LB Foot - - Limited Questionable

Per Niners Nation:

Safety Eric Reid has a PCL injury and will not play against the Rams. Nor will linebacker Reuben Foster, who is dealing with a high ankle sprain.

...

Joining them was safety Jaquiski Tartt and tight end George Kittle. Tartt has a neck injury and head coach Kyle Shanahan referred to him as “questionable” in a conference call on Monday evening.

We’ll have to see how Tartt and Kittle fare. Given that Tartt is the reserve for Reid, not sure what the plan would be if neither can go.
