Did I get this in late? Yeah. Is that okay? Yeah.
There’s only one major game on the slate today and it doesn’t kick off for another hour and a half, though we have seen some interesting early contests.
#7 Michigan got off slowly against Air Force, but they came through in the second half to put it away. #9 Oklahoma St. worked Pittsburgh over with ease as that offense continues to impress behind QB Mason Rudolph who threw for nearly 500 yards today. UCLA came away short behind Memphis, but QB Josh Rosen threw for more than 450 yards and four touchdowns. Looking at you, UCLA defense...
And #23 Tennessee and #24 Florida have had a defensive showing going now with just a few minutes remaining in a three-point game.
But tonight’s about #3 Clemson against #14 Louisville, about Clemson’s defense trying to contain Louisville QB Lamar Jackson. Should be a good one.
And yeah, #4 USC is taking on Texas but given UT’s loss to Maryland in Week 1 this one isn’t carrying much of anything outside of the Trojans needing to get the job done and get into Pac-12 play in earnest.
