Following a day off, the Los Angeles Rams got back to work at training camp.
Another good day on the field with the first of two joint practices with the Los Angeles Chargers coming tomorrow...
Injuries
WR Tavon Austin and RB Lance Dunbar remain out, but today brought word of an issue with rookie fourth-round 2017 NFL Draft pick WR Josh Reynolds:
Yeah, he had a minor thing with his quad. He’s day-to-day, as well. We’re expecting him back in the next few days, but you just want to be smart, especially with some of your skill players with any of those minor tissue injuries, especially in their lower half. That’s something that we can’t afford to have setbacks and he’s a guy that he’s making good progress and we’re hopeful that he’ll be back in the next few days.
With two wideouts added yesterday in former Georgia Tech QB and current NFL WR Justin Thomas and WR C.J. Germany, and brought another on board today in rookie UDFA K.D. Cannon out of Baylor, Reynolds’ time lost is extremely impactful. With a joint practice tomorrow and another coming next week with the Rams’ first preseason game looming next weekend...
McVay’s Offense
I’m just leaving this here:
7v7 at the Rams, Goff picked at the goal line by LaMarcus Joyner on a four-yard pass.

Wade’s Defense
Wade Phillips on McVay: "He's a lot smarter than I am. He's got 40 years of knowledge; I have 40 years of experience."

Grandpa Wade’s the goddamn best.
