LA Rams Sign CB Tyqwuan Glass

Rams sign a former standout from JUCO, Fresno State

Less than a week before the team takes on the Los Angeles Chargers, the Rams adds cornerback Tyqwuan Glass to their secondary.

While the name may not ring a bell to fans, it does to the Rams. The team brought Glass in for a pre-draft workout, ultimately losing him to the Houston Texans in the post-draft, free agent frenzy.

Glass was later signed and then released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers later in the summer.

Glass was a former junior college standout, and racked up quite the resume on run-defense while at Fresno State. He spent two seasons with the Bulldogs, both as a starter. During that time, he recorded 119 tackles, 21 pass deflections, a forced fumble, and six interceptions.

According to Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller, Glass was solid against the run and was never shy about making the big play.

However, he was not great against the downfield routes and struggled to play the ball.

During his short stint with the Buccaneers, Glass was burned by Tampa Bay’s third-round draft pick, wide receiver Chris Godwin. Of the 45 cornerbacks Miller graded, Glass was ranked No. 41.

Woof.
