Per NFL Network’s Mike Garofolo, the Los Angeles Rams are signing former New Orleans Saints OLB Davis Tull:

Tull was a 2015 NFL Draft fifth-round pick for the Saints out of the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. He missed most of 2015 on injured reserve and was released last year in the cutdown to the 53-man roster. He spent last season on and off the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad.

He’ll join the Rams after an impressive defensive showing against the Dallas Cowboys in the Rams’ preseason opener as they prepare to take on the Oakland Raiders tomorrow in their second preseason contest.

Tull joins an interesting OLB group led by starting OLBs Robert Quinn and Connor Barwin with rookies Ejuan Price and Samson Ebukam offering promising depth. Tull’s unlikely to factor beyond the preseason, but it will be interesting to see how he handles the opportunity. Of course, that requires playing time; the immediacy of his addition probably prevents any time tomorrow in Oakland, but let’s see if he’s in the mix in the second half at all.

As it stands, Tull’s your newest LA Ram.
