2017 Los Angeles Rams Training Camp is taking a step up today...pads.
Today will be the first full equipment, partial contact practice of camp. In anticipation, some of the veterans had their workload lightened yesterday:
#Rams also gave a handful of veterans the day off in advance of full pads Tuesday. Among them: Barwin, Whitworth, Saffold, Easley— Vincent Bonsignore (@DailyNewsVinny) August 1, 2017
So expect some pop today...just not from the lead man:
The Rams are in pads tomorrow. No word on whether Sean McVay will also be in pads.— Alden Gonzalez (@Alden_Gonzalez) August 1, 2017
Interesting news that the NFL is willing to work with the NFLPA to study marijuana. Not expecting any blunts in the beer garden, though.
Eager to see everyone in pads, something we talked about last night on Turf Show Radio in reference to WR Tavon Austin. Is this going to help the more physical players whereas the more technical and athletic ones had an advantage in shorts?
Wading with Wade
No full tackling coming today:
Rams will wear full pads in practice tomorrow, but McVay said there won't be any "live" (tackling to ground) periods.— Rich Hammond (@Rich_Hammond) August 1, 2017
The Chargers apparently want to fight everyone for everything. pic.twitter.com/Wpd0RQph8x— Arash Markazi (@ArashMarkazi) July 30, 2017
We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in [Orange County], we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in [Redondo], we shall defend [Catalina] island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in [Yorba Linda] and in [Pomona], we shall fight in [Laguna] hills; we shall never surrender.
