Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Los Angeles Rams are set to hire former Denver Broncos General Manager Brian Xanders:
The #Rams are expected to hire former #Broncos GM Brian Xanders to a senior personnel role, source said. Had most recently been with #Lions.

Xanders was the GM with the Broncos from 2009-12 and a Senior Personnel Executive with the Detroit Lions.
If I’m guessing, Xanders fills the Director of Pro Personnel spot recently held by Ran Carthon until he was let go in April:
Carthon played running back at the University of Florida before a three-year NFL career spent mostly with the Indianapolis Colts. He joined the scouting staff of the Atlanta Falcons under then-Director of Player Personnel Les Snead. When Snead joined the Rams’ staff as general manager in 2012, Carthon joined him in St. Louis as director of pro personnel himself.
Xanders was linebacker at Florida St. from 1989-92 and started his NFL staff career with the Atlanta Falcons two years later.
Here’s hoping Xanders helps the Rams’ scouting department as the college football season kicks off soon and the evaluations this year will have even more impact in the 2018 NFL Draft when General Manager Les Snead will advise Head Coach Sean McVay on his first ever first-round selection.
