As the Los Angeles Rams are taking the field again for OTAs, the media have taken notice of some interesting things:
Rams' OTA attendance report:
— Rich Hammond (@Rich_Hammond) June 5, 2017
Arrived: Tru Johnson, Mo Alexander
Missing: Aaron Donald, Greg Robinson, Connor Barwin, EJ Gaines
The missing man in CB Trumaine Johnson has officially returned to the Rams practice field, as per a tweet from Ryan Kartje:
#Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson was back at OTA's today, after not being present here last week. McVay said they talked it over.

That’s great news, obviously as the DB crew will ride behind their #1 CB. Likely searching for a long-term contract, Tru has made it known he wants to stay in LA. As for the rest of the news, Mo Alexander has officially made his OTA debut after an injury had him sidelined all of the off-season thus far.
The missing men? Well, DT Aaron Donald was expected, as he hasn’t attended OTAs so far in search of a new contract (Which Les Snead says is coming in due time). The three surprises are OL Greg Robinson, OLB Connor Barwin, and CB E.J. Gaines.
Greg Robinson was not at #Rams OTA's today, but Sean McVay said Robinson communicated that he wouldn't be here today.

Robinson is currently battling with OL Jamon Brown for the starting RT spot.

Per Joe Curley, here are the tweets from Trumaine Johnson’s press conference:
"I'm a complete corner. I can play man, I can play zone... I can play water boy" if that's what's asked if him. -Johnson @CVRamsClub

Johnson said he had a personal situation “that I needed to take care of.” Missed an entire week. Looked like he spent much of today with 2s.

“I’m here. I’m happy. I’m back with my teammates. I’ve been missing football for a week. I’m glad to be back out here with my guys.” — Tru

Tru speaks for the first time since his return:

“Right now, I’m happy to be here and playing ball. I’m controlling what I can control. When that contract stuff comes up, I’ll handle it.”

Tru speaks on Aaron Donald’s absence:
“Understanding his situation, there’s a business side of football… that you have to handle. But we’ve love to have him back.” — Tru on AD

Looks like Tru is still happy to be around with the Rams, and hopefully the Rams will reciprocate with a fair long-term contract.
