Los Angeles Rams CB Troy Hill has been suspended for two games for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Per a notice from the team:
Troy Hill of the Los Angeles Rams has been suspended without pay for the first two games of the 2017 regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
Hill will be eligible to return to the Rams’ active roster on Monday, September 18 following the team’s September 17 game against the Washington Redskins.
Hill is eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games
The Rams scooped Hill from the New England Patriots in late 2015. He featured in 12 games last year and started in four as the Rams rotated through numerous cornerbacks as Trumaine Johnson and E.J. Gaines missed time intermittently due to injury.
Hill was arrested in November of last year for suspicion of DUI.
Hill is under contract for this year and is scheduled to be an exclusive rights free agent after this season.
